In the field. In the classroom.
I teach from the work: designing cultural formats, hosting people and translating ideas into experiences. Real projects become a starting point for observation, discussion and making.
For universities, design schools and professional learning programmes, I develop guest lectures, practical sessions and project-based learning around the people and questions in the room.

Three starting points for your programme. Each can be adapted to the subject, level and time available.
Who feels invited, what makes arrival easy, and what gives someone a reason to take part? We examine invitation, access, hosting and small shared actions, using SUNDAZE as a starting point.
Connect a creative idea to the conditions needed to host it. Starting with ONBOARD and a place of their own, participants explore programme, space, sound, service and the time people spend together.
Develop a small experience, try it with people and learn from what happens. Move between observation, making and reflection, connecting an idea to the people, place and work that give it form.
Observe a real situation. Map the relationships. Make something small enough to try. Host it, reflect on what happened, and document what to change.
Sessions connect creative decisions to access, space, sound, service and the work of hosting.
Presented at the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul as a parallel event of the 15th Istanbul Biennial, NOT AN ARTIST was an Istituto Europeo di Design research project on the evolving roles surrounding contemporary art. Harun Elibolca, founder and director of Gigology, joined Tamara Chalabi, Deniz Ova and Alessandra Ricci, in a conversation moderated by Igor Zanti.
